It was a hard stage and a tough Tour de Pologne but we were encouraged by the big crowds of spectators here, with so many fans from Poland and Slovakia.
It was a tough stage, not really one that suits riders like myself. Rafal tried hard and gave his best. He is second in the GC with only 6 seconds distance from the first.
Although it was short, today’s stage 5 of the Tour de Pologne was very hard and very tricky as the rain and dirt on the roads made the course slippery.
It was a very long stage at the Tour de Pologne, I could even say maybe too long, under a scorching sun and hot temperatures. It was also very fast, with an average speed of 42km/h.
