As expected, the Grands Prix Cyclistes Montreal was a tough race but, once again, the team did an excellent job and I was well-positioned at the start of the last lap. I was feeling well, I was able to respond to the many attacks in the final kilometres and in the last climb, I closed the gap on my own. That effort cost me and left me without a lot of energy in my legs to contest the sprint. Obviously, I would have liked to finish in a better place but I feel confident about my form ahead of my next races.
Ako sa aj očakávalo tak Grand Prix de Montreal boli ťažké preteky, ale náš tím opäť odviedol skvelú prácu a ja som mal výbornú pozíciu aj na začiatku záverečného okruhu. Cítil som sa dobre a bol som schopný v posledných kilometroch a aj v záverečnom stúpaní reagovať na mnoho útokov. Sám som spojil vznikajúcu medzeru a to ma stálo veľa síl. Nemal som už v nohách dostatok energie na záverečný špurt. Určite by som rád skončil na lepšom mieste, ale pred ďalšími pretekmi som so svojou formou spokojný.
