It was a very hot day. Once again, the guys put in a strong effort throughout the stage, especially Maciej Bodnar who spent a lot of time at the front, doing all the work and setting the pace. Once we got into the circuit, everything pointed to a fast bunch sprint but Stybar attacked from far away. I was behind the UAE Emirates leadout train and I thought we would make the catch but Stybar was able to hold on and take the win.
Bol to veľmi horúci deň. Chalani opäť vynaložili veľké úsilie počas celej etapy. Najmä Maciej Bodnar, ktorý trávil veľa času na špici, robil všetku prácu a udržiaval tempo. Keď sme sa dostali na okruh, všetko nasvedčovalo rýchlemu hromadnému špurtu, ale Štybar zaútočil veľmi skoro. Bol som za vedúcim špurtérskym vlakom UAE a myslel som si, že ho ešte chytia, ale Štybar dokázal vydržať a vyhrať.
